Hows it hanging reader dudes? Me and the most awesome Teacup 4 (aka Overreactive Cheesecake) went to the local Circle K....sorry, Cineworld Cinema, and got to see the most triumphant third movie in the Bill and Ted franchise, Bill & Ted Face The Music.

So, it has been 25 years (nooooo waaaaay!) since we last saw Bill S. Preston Esq. and "Ted" Theodore Logan, and they had made the most awesome music that basically joined the World together in perfect harmony...except...it didn't. They had just one moment of fame and that was it...but regardless of this, the Wyld Stallyms still do their best to carry on and fulfil their destiny.
Meanwhile, while they carry on trying to find the song that unites the world....there are far bigger problems happening in time and space, so once more Bill & Ted are in a race against time to save not just Earth but time and space itself!
So, now that the Wyld Stallyns have to get back together again and make the song and present it at the right time in the right place before it's too late....everything is at stake!

I remember reading about Keanu Reeves saying about the possibility that there was a third movie on the way quite a while ago when the blog was rather young still (I mention this on the blog HERE) and that I didn't think that this was going to be best of ideas....and a decade on (yes, that long ago...man I feel old now!) and as much as I hate to say this, I still feel the same way to a certain extent.
That's not to say that the movie wasn't watchable or enjoyable, I'm not saying that at all...however, this just didn't have the Bill & Ted vibes of the previous movies (and in some ways I do think that was deliberately done, when you watch the movie you'll understand why) but just seemed to lack a lot of the fun in more ways than one. That's not saying that wasn't funny as there's some brilliant comedy in it but it just doesn't save it. Include the lack of the Rufus (we love you, dude! RIP George Carlin) and it feels less than it really should be. This is not down to Reeves, Winter or any of cast, as they were great but maybe it was in some ways too big a gap between this movie and Bogus Journey. There is a little piece to watch right after the credits, so stay until the end, it was a kinda sweet little bit.
This movie, if you've never seen a Bill & Ted movie, you're going to have fun, but you really need to check out the previous movies, for they are most excellent.
And....this movie is available to pre-order! If you go to WB Shop you can pre-order now and you'll get a Wyld Stallyns keyring!
Bill & Ted Face The Music is rated PG and is in cinemas now.
