HalloSCREAM! Part 14 – Amazon Prime Review: Long Lost

This one is a little bit different readers, this thriller (yup not all scary movies are gorefests, sorry!) is one that was pointed out to me via Twitter and had me rather intreagued.

Here we have Long Lost, which is currently free for people with Amazon Prime subscriptions.

Curiouser and curiouser Seth gets….and what will he discover in the end?

When Seth gets a strange letter from long lost millionaire half-brother Richard asking him to stay for the weekend at his secluded mansion, Seth expects it just to be about meeting up and catching up and seeing how things are, but things are strange from the very beginning. With the help of Richard’s girlfriend Abby, Seth has an adventure he will never forget where is led down a psychosexual rabbithole where luxury, treachery, temptation and taboo all mingle into one with the games they play. Seth slowly realises that the people in this house just might know him rather well….in fact they just might know him better than he actually knows himself.

Now word of warning about this movie, this movie is a real slow burner, so if you don’t like that kind of thing then back away now…however, this is worth the wait and the build up as you watch and wonder what really is going on. What amazed me is that throughout the whole thing there are only 4 people in this movie and that’s it, but you don’t really think about that as you watch the movie, it also had a very interesting twist which I didn’t quite expect. Very clever and well played. I loved this movie and hope to check out more work done by Director Erik Bloomquist in the future.

Long Lost is not rated (I’ve checked with the BBFC and there is no details so I’m guessing that there’s no UK versions being released as yet barring digital) and can be seen on Amazon Prime for free.
