Blu-Ray Preview: Anna and the Apocalypse Special Edition

Updated: Nov 19, 2019

Well, Halloween is over and so is (Thankfully) Bonfire Night, so what comes next?

....oh yeah, Christmas. Meh.

So the onslaught of the silly season begins here.

With a musical.

With....Zombies?

Ah, what a time to be alive! Time to check out the Special Edition Blu-Ray of Anna and the Apocalypse from Second Sight Films.

When the zombie apocalypse hits the sleepy town of Little Haven - at Christmas, of all times - Anna and her high school friends have to fight, slash, sing and dance to survive, with undead hordes surrounding them. Teaming with her best friend John, Anna has to fight her way through zombified snowmen, Santas, elves and - worse still - Christmas shoppers to get across town to the high school, where they'll be safe. But they soon discover that being a teenager is just as difficult as staying alive, even at the end of the world. Soon enough they discover no one is truly safe in this World, and with civilization falling to pieces around them, the only people they can truly rely on are each other.

I'm not really one for Christmas movies but this some else! With elements of Musical, Zombie, Coming of Age, Comedy, and a little bit of Christmas flavour this is a fun watch and pure entertainment.

The cast are brilliant, the kids played the stereotypes of schoolkids....and Paul Kaye played Arthur Savage really well, I truly wanted to punch him in the face!

If you're fed up with the usual nice and flouncy happy joy joy Christmas movies....or you want to check out a movie filmed in Scotland where Zombies take over Christmas then look no further.

Second Sight Film have come up trumps yet again with a brilliant special edition. Over 2 Blu-Rays you'll find 2 versions of the movie (Theatrical and Extended editions), original short Zombie Musical, Audio commentary with Composers, Director & Writer, New documentary featuring new interviews with cast & crew, Behind the scenes, Gag reel, deleted scenes and more!
